Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, Lake Como

Tuesday 04th Feb 2025 |

On 21st MarchGrand Hotel Villa Serbelloni opens for its 152nd season and raises the bar yet again with: the refurbishment of each signature suite, a brand new beach club and a significantly extended and renovated  Spa Luce del Lago.

Securing its position as the ultimate wellness destination on Lake Como and with a laudable blend of modern luxury and ancient wellness philosophies, a brand new Hammam will be the spa’s crown jewel – offering guests an immersive journey deeply rooted in Etruscan traditions and marking the spa as the largest in the area. All the treatments draw inspiration from the lake, whether this be the purifying properties of the water, the mineral-rich mud or the rose hues of a Bellagio sunset. The rituals also include sensory experiences, including an ‘emotional shower’ combining thermotherapy, hydrotherapy and chromotherapy to deliver both serenity and energy.

The spa makeover also includes a new, multi-functional Spa Suite, featuring a sauna, relaxation area, jacuzzi and treatment area. Designed for private use, the space is ideal for couples, families, or small groups of up to six guests. It can be rented separately or connected to the Hammam for a seamless and exclusive wellness journey.

Also new for 2025, Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is pleased to announce the opening of its revamped private beach club: Baci da Bellagio Beach Club. With a chic nautical vibe and fashion forward details, the beach club combines the timeless elegance of Lake Como and a Riviera-inspired vibe. It features pristine sandy shores, direct lake access, premium teak wood decking, luxury loungers designed for ultimate relaxation and new Baci Beach umbrellas, with the club’s ‘Baci da Bellagio’ signaturemeaning ‘kisses from Bellagio’, printed in red lipstick on the underside.

These innovations perfectly complement Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni’s traditional features and historic charm. Filled with Murano glass, frescos, marble staircases, gilding and antiques, the hotel embodies elegance. It’s also the only 5-star luxury hotel in Bellagio, the best-loved village on Lake Como, and it has been part of the Bucher family for four generations, priding itself on authentic Italian hospitality and service. The hotel’s ageless style has made it a go-to destination for generations of political and cultural figures including Churchill, JFK, Franz Liszt (his piano is still there), Mary Shelley, Sofia Loren, Mario Testino and Jurgen Teller (whose 2024 photographic exhibition is shot on location at the hotel).

Alongside the new spa, guests can: embrace authentic Italian cuisine at the hotel’s two standout restaurants, including fine-dining at Mistral, relax on the swimming platform and enjoy the iconic lake-diving board or try out a complete range of watersports.
