I Tried Viva NMN for 8 Weeks — My Honest Review
NMN supplements have re-emerged on TikTok as users search for longevity trends, anti-ageing routines and energy-boosting wellness products. With growing social media interest, many people are asking whether the hype matches reality.
Unless you have been living under a rock – or do not spend an unhealthy amount of time in the small hours scrolling through Tik Tok reels like me, then you have probably seen or heard about the latest anti-ageing trend taking social media by storm – NMN supplements.
NMN, or Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, plays a crucial role as a precursor to NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide), a coenzyme found in every cell of the body that is essential for energy metabolism and cellular function.
As we age, the levels of NAD+ naturally decline, which is believed to contribute to the ageing process and the development of age-related conditions.
Proponents of Viva NMN supplement claim that it can effectively boost NAD+ levels in the body, thus offering numerous benefits. These claims often include improved energy levels, enhanced cognitive function, better cardiovascular health, and increased muscle endurance. I have even seen claims that one can reverse greying hair by taking this supplement – madness. Interest in NMN has grown through longevity research, but evidence in humans is still developing and results are not guaranteed.
Well, not one to shy away from the next big thing and recently reaching the ripe old age of 45, I’m a woman in a transitional period of life and staring down the barrel of the menopausal gun – I’ll give this thing a go and give an honest review of Viva NMN.
Quick Verdict
⭐ Rating: 2/10
Best for: People who are curious about NMN supplements and want to try the trend for themselves.
Avoid if: You expect noticeable anti-ageing results, more energy, sharper focus or fast visible changes.
Would I rebuy? No.
My honest summary: After taking Viva NMN for 8 weeks, I noticed no meaningful change in energy, mood, focus or appearance.
Viva seem to have spent a huge amount on advertising their NMN supplement across social media platforms with enthusiastic influencers waxing lyrical about the effects, from boundless energy to younger looking skin and hair health. Every time I opened the app at 3am unable to sleep, there was some dewy skinned middle aged specimen lavishing plaudits over this ‘miracle’ capsule that would change my life in just 30 days. Ever the skeptic, I bought two months worth knowing I would need to give it a real go if I were to offer a fair analysis.
So, for 8 weeks I observed myself closely, expecting increased vitality or enhanced focus. However, to my (non) surprise, I felt no different. My energy levels remained the same, and there was no significant improvement in my day-to-day mental clarity or physical stamina. I still need my roots touching up as I still have grey hair.
I had hoped for tangible results, like a spring in my step or an uplifted mood, but my experience was rather underwhelming – to say the least. Despite the purported benefits hyped by some, Viva NMN supplements did not deliver the personal impact I was hoping for. While others might find them useful, my journey with NMN was uneventful and felt inconsequential.
In conclusion, the decision to take NMN supplements hinges on individual expectations and circumstances. While some people report experiencing increased energy levels and enhanced well-being, others, like myself, feel no noticeable difference.
Whilst the marketing is great, it certainly sucked me in, the results were undeniably, well deniable. Nothing, nada, zilch. I may as well have been taking a capsule of cornflour – I cannot be any clearer that this supplement made absolutely no difference to me.
Viva NMN is marketed brilliantly and taps into the understandable desire to feel younger, sharper and more energised. But after two months of testing, it simply did not deliver noticeable results for me. If you decide to try it, go in with realistic expectations rather than miracle hopes.
Do let me know in the comments if you had a different experience, I would love to hear about it – as long as you are not in the affiliate program of course…
