A new Blue Stilton® is joining the raft of delicious, award-winning cheeses from Long Clawson Dairy this autumn, perfect for grazing boards, recipes and beyond.
Appropriately named in 1912, after the year Long Clawson was established as a farming cooperative, it is made with milk from just over 30 supplier farms. These farms, who also own the business, allow complete traceability back to individual herds, creating a Stilton® like no other, using the craft and care of the master cheesemakers with over 200 years of collective experience.
Stilton® has PDO status (protected designation of origin) which means it can only be made in and with milk from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire. There are currently only six dairies licensed to make Stilton® in England. 1912 delivers a flavour that takes the consumer on a journey from pure creaminess to intense tanginess, with layers of flavour in every crumbling bite.
Legendary chef, Marco Pierre White, has become the ambassador for 1912 and will be featuring the Stilton® in his restaurants and pubs, as well as developing a range of delicious everyday recipes to inspire usage beyond the traditional cheeseboard.
