First of all, it’s rose gold. Naturally, that immediately caught my attention. It looks so beautiful sitting in my bathroom that it almost feels wrong to call it a toothbrush. It has much more of an expensive beauty gadget vibe than something you grab half-asleep with toothpaste down your pyjamas.
The feature that impressed me most is the UV-C cleaning base. It doesn’t just charge the toothbrush – it also automatically sanitises and dries the brush head after every use. According to TAO Clean, the UV-C system is designed to eliminate up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria, which genuinely makes me feel like my toothbrush is as clean as my teeth.
I also love that it has several brushing modes because, somehow, my teeth seem to have different personalities depending on the day. If I want that fresh-from-the-dentist feeling, I can choose a more powerful clean. If my gums are feeling a little sensitive, there’s a gentler setting that still leaves my teeth feeling incredibly clean.
The sonic technology delivers thousands of brush strokes every minute and the difference is noticeable. My teeth feel so smooth afterwards that I genuinely can’t stop running my tongue over them. It’s one of those little things you don’t realise you’ve been missing until you try it.
Another huge plus is the portable travel sanitiser. I love travelling, but I don’t love throwing my toothbrush into a wash bag alongside my make-up, skincare and the seventeen products I definitely didn’t need to pack. The travel sanitiser keeps the brush head protected and hygienic whether I’m heading away for the weekend, going on holiday or staying overnight somewhere.
The design deserves a mention too. The rose gold finish is elegant, feminine and stylish enough to leave out on display. It proves that practical products don’t have to be clinical or boring – they can actually look beautiful too.
Overall, the TAO Clean UMMA Diamond Sonic Toothbrush has completely upgraded my oral care routine. It cleans brilliantly, offers multiple brushing modes, sanitises itself after every use and even comes with its own travel sanitiser. It’s basically the high-maintenance toothbrush that somehow manages to take care of itself.
Yes, it’s definitely more of a luxury purchase than a standard electric toothbrush, but when you think about it, it’s something I use at least twice a day, every single day. For me, that makes it completely worth the investment.
Cleaner teeth, a healthier smile and a rose gold bathroom accessory that actually earns its place on the countertop? I’m completely sold.
