Dr Melaxin Eye Patch Review: Do These Viral TikTok Eye Patches Actually Work?

I Tried the Viral Dr Melaxin Eye Patches — Here’s My Honest Review

I’m 46. I haven’t had a huge amount of work done — the odd bit of Botox in my forehead and a little lip filler over the past couple of years. I love the effects of both treatments and I’ll definitely have them again, but aesthetic treatments are expensive, uncomfortable and, honestly, I never want to go over the top. I want to look good for my age — not reverse it completely. I’m a realist.

I think my skin is fairly good overall. I’ve always taken care in the sun and, luckily for me, I genuinely enjoy healthy food, exercise and sleep, so my lifestyle probably contributes quite a lot to how my skin looks now.

That said, I absolutely love skincare products. And as I’ve discussed many times before in my beauty reviews, I’m also a doom scroller with a slightly unhealthy TikTok addiction. So whenever a beauty product suddenly starts flooding my For You Page with dramatic before-and-afters and glowing reviews, you better believe I’m buying it and testing it for myself.

This time, the product taking over TikTok was the Dr. Melaxin Cemenrete Calcium Volume Eye Patch — the viral Korean eye patches claiming to hydrate, plump and smooth the under-eye area.

Why I Tried the Dr Melaxin Eye Patches

I tend towards under-eye bags and I also have fairly dramatically hooded eyelids — enough so that, if I’m being completely honest, I’m actually saving up for surgery at some point in the future. But in the meantime, I’ll try almost any eye product that claims it can improve the appearance of the skin around my eyes.

I had actually tried a couple of Dr Melaxin products before this, including the Calcium Balm. I wasn’t blown away by it, but equally I wasn’t completely against it either. So the brand wasn’t entirely new to me.

But lately Dr Melaxin has absolutely exploded online and after seeing these eye patches repeatedly recommended by TikTok creators, I thought I’d give them a go myself.

I’ve now been using them consistently for a couple of weeks and honestly? I’m impressed.

And I actually enjoy saying that because I’m brutally honest about viral beauty products. Most of them aren’t necessarily bad, but very often the marketing campaigns outperform the actual results by an absolute country mile. I understand influencers have to make a living and I’ve got no issue with that whatsoever, but when every other video claims a product has “completely transformed” someone’s face overnight, I do become slightly sceptical — especially when commission links are involved. Cynical maybe, but I suspect most of us are thinking exactly the same thing while scrolling.

My Honest Dr Melaxin Eye Patch Review

What I liked about the Dr Melaxin eye patches is that the results felt realistic rather than ridiculous. They didn’t magically erase twenty years from my face or suddenly lift my hooded eyelids, but they did make the whole eye area look fresher, smoother and noticeably more hydrated.

The biggest difference for me was actually the texture of the skin. My under-eye area looked less tired and less creased after using them consistently, especially in the mornings when puffiness usually makes me look far more exhausted than I actually feel. Makeup also seemed to sit much better afterwards, which is always a very good sign with any eye product.

They have that cooling, soothing feel that many Korean eye patches are known for, but these felt slightly more substantial than some of the cheaper versions I’ve tried before. I found myself reaching for them before events, work meetings or even just mornings where I looked particularly sleep deprived.

Importantly, they also didn’t irritate my skin — and around the eyes that’s a huge deal for me. Anything too active or heavily fragranced tends to make my eyes water immediately, but these felt comfortable from the very first use.

The Tightening Feeling Around the Eyes

One thing I noticed almost immediately after using the patches was a slight tightening feeling around the eye area afterwards — and personally, I quite liked that. It gives that subtle “something is happening here” sensation without feeling uncomfortable or harsh on the skin.

I actually use four patches each time rather than two — one underneath each eye and another above on the eyelids themselves. Given my hooded eyelids are one of my biggest insecurities, it just made sense to me to treat the whole eye area rather than only the under-eyes.

Thankfully the pack contains 60 patches, so there are plenty to work with even if you’re using them generously like I am.

Dr Melaxin Eye Patches UK Price

The price varies depending on where you buy them, but having checked the official Dr Melaxin UK website, they currently retail for around £19, apparently reduced from roughly £40.

Honestly, for the amount you get and the results I’ve personally seen, I actually think that’s fairly reasonable — especially compared to some luxury eye creams that cost significantly more and seem to do very little beyond looking pretty on a bathroom shelf.

Can You Use the Dr Melaxin Eye Patches Elsewhere on the Face?

One thing I’ve noticed online is that people aren’t just using these patches under the eyes. I’ve seen TikTok users applying them around smile lines, forehead lines and other areas where they want a temporary plumping and hydrating effect.

I haven’t tried that myself yet, but given how much I’ve liked the effect around my eyes, I’ll definitely be experimenting with that next.

Are the Dr Melaxin Eye Patches Worth It?

To be clear — these are not miracle workers. They’re not going to give you the results of surgery, filler or professional treatments.

But I have seen a marked difference in the appearance of the skin around my eyes. The effect is almost immediate after using them — the hydration seems to flood the area, making the skin look plumper, smoother and fresher straight away.

For me, the biggest improvement has been how awake and healthy the eye area looks overall. Fine dehydration lines appear softer, makeup applies better and the whole area simply looks less tired.

I’ve been using them morning and night every day, so I honestly can’t say whether I’d get the same results from only using them once or twice a week. But based on what I’m seeing right now, this is definitely a product I’ll continue buying again and again.

And honestly? That’s actually quite rare for me when it comes to viral TikTok beauty products. These genuinely earned a permanent place in my skincare routine.
