Are you planning a UK-based holiday and wondering where to visit? With so many fantastic places to see across Britain, you’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to holiday destinations.

To help you decide where to head, we’ve put together this list of four of the best places for a UK break.

  • London

With an almost endless number of things to do and see, London is a great place to head on holiday. You could visit all the tourist hotspots such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and Trafalgar Square, before enjoying an evening at one of the fantastic West End shows.

Or, you could stroll through Hyde Park, shop ‘til you drop on Oxford Street, or take a river cruise along the Thames. There are plenty of fantastic places to stay, from cosy hotels to luxury serviced apartments in London that provide the perfect base for exploring.

  • North Wales

North Wales is the perfect holiday destination for those that love the great outdoors. There’s fantastic scenery to enjoy at every turn, from rolling hills to deep valleys and the beautiful coastline. On a sunny day, you could head to the beach to play games on the sand, swim in the sea and enjoy a picnic.

Alternatively, you could strap on your walking boots and head on a hike to see some of the most spectacular landscapes the country has to offer. You could make your way to Snowdon to do the Watkin Path, or Gwynedd to do the 9km Beddgelert Circular trail, enjoying the views as you go.

The Lake District is renowned as one of the most beautiful spots in the UK – and it’s easy to see why. With its vast blue waters, rich green forests, and spectacular mountains, it’s the perfect place to spend a holiday in the UK.

If you love the water, you could head out on a scenic boat trip around Lake Windemere. If solid ground is more your thing, why not do one of the fantastic walks or cycle through the forest? After a day of exploring, treat yourself to some good pub grub at one of the great restaurants scattered around the district.

With its quaint coastal towns, fabulous beaches, and laid-back lifestyle, Cornwall is a great place to spend a UK holiday. There are plenty of beautiful destinations to visit here, including St Ives, Penzance, Padstow, Truro, and Port Isaac.

You could spend a day lounging on the beach, enjoy a traditional cream tea or sample fresh seafood at one of the fantastic eateries. Or, you could take in the amazing coastal views on a clifftop walk, such as from Sennen Cove to Land’s End – Britain’s most south-westerly point.
