With the CBD trend showing no signs of slowing down, the market has become flooded with options ranging from gummies and drinks to oils and supplements.
The one brand on everyone’s lips right now is TRIP, which has gone from a 2019 start-up to the UK’s leading name in CBD. Impressive stuff. So, what’s all the fuss about?
Well, after sampling a selection of their oils and drinks, it soon became clear there are several things that sets TRIP apart. First and foremost, it’s got to be the flavour. Having tried several CBS oils before, I had never tasted one I liked. TRIP comes in two different flavours, both of which are surprisingly good.
Wild Mint & Chamomile is my personal favourite, offering up a subtle but pleasant minty taste. The Orange Blossom variant is also very pleasant, but a touch too sweet for my liking. Both flavours were high strength (1000MG of CBD) which I found worked best for me with a daily dose of 66MG (equal to a full pipette).
Similar to other oils I’ve tried, the effects are subtle but effective. After almost two weeks of taking TRIP, I’ve been sleeping like a baby and have felt a lot more chilled out. Not bad for someone who goes through extended phases of insomnia which tends to lead to anxiety. My concentration levels too have improved, but then this could be due to the fact I’m sleeping better.
There’s no denying that a big part of TRIP’s success is down to its attractive packaging design and branding. The pastel colour palette is undeniably feminine, which may put some guys off, but that would be a shame given the quality of the product itself.
TRIP is very reasonably priced too, with offers on their website for as little as £25 for a bottle of their highest strength. A big thumbs up for these oils.
The sparkling CBD drinks too are another excellent product and have been popping up more and more in supermarkets of late. My personal favourite is the refreshing Elderflower Mint, closely followed by the Peach Ginger. The Lemon Basil is a little tart for my taste buds, but each to their own.
With just 15MG of CBD per can, seasoned CBD lovers may not quite get enough from one can, but they are all superior quality regardless and perfect for summer. Reports suggest they also make a great mixer for tequila too, which is something I’ll be testing in the non-too distant future.

Final verdict
TRIP is a cool and accessible CBD brand that puts out quality products at a decent price. Both the oils and sparkling drinks taste fantastic and the effects, whilst mild, are very encouraging.
Whether you’re a little stressed, struggling to sleep or just want a little help winding down, TRIP is well worth hitting up.
