Under the Sea: 3 Great Grilled Fish Recipes

Did you know that eating fish is super healthy for you?  

It’s true! Fish are rich in vitamins, proteins, and omega-3 fatty acids that promote heart health. But when you deep fry your fish, the whole meal becomes a lot less healthy.  But not to worry because these amazing recipes keep your fish away from the fryer. Keep reading to learn 3 grilled fish recipes you have to try.  

Grilled Salmon 

What you’ll need:  

  • 1.5 lb salmon fillet  
  • 4 tbsp olive oil, divided  
  • 1 tsp garlic powder  
  • 2 tsp kosher salt  
  • 2 tsp black pepper  
  • 1 lemon  

How to make it:  

Preheat the grill for medium heat. While it’s preheating, rinse the salmon filet and cut it into 4 pieces (6 oz each). Pro tip: if you want the best knife for cutting fish, browse electric knives for sale 

Coat each piece of salmon with 1 tbsp olive oil. Then, mix the garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle 1/4 of the seasoning on each piece of salmon. 

Oil the grate and place salmon on the grill. Cover and cook the salmon for 5-6 minutes per side. When it’s done, the fish should flake off easily with a fork. 

Cut the lemon into wedges and squeeze over the salmon. Enjoy!  

Grilled Halibut 

What you’ll need:  

  • 1.5 lb halibut fillet  
  • 1/4 cup olive oil  
  • 1 clove garlic, minced  
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice  
  • 1 tsp dried basil  
  • 1 tsp kosher salt  
  • 1 tsp pepper  

How to make it:  

Rinse the halibut filet and cut it into 4 pieces (6 oz each).  

Mix the olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, dried basil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pour the mixture into a resealable plastic bag. Put the halibut into the bag and let marinate for 30 minutes.  

Preheat the grill for medium heat and oil the grate. Remove the halibut from the plastic bag and place on the grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until the fish flakes off with a fork.  Enjoy!  

Grilled Tuna Steak 

What you’ll need:  

  • 2, 1 lb tuna steaks  
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce 
  • 2 tbsp honey  
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil  
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar  
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger  
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • Kosher salt to taste  
  • Black pepper to taste  

How to make it:  

Rinse the tuna steaks.  

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, olive oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into a resealable plastic bag. Put the tuna steaks into the plastic bag and let marinate for 30 minutes.  

Preheat the grill for high heat and oil the grate. Sear the tuna for 2 minutes on each side for a medium-rare steak. Enjoy!
