Introducing new BRIX head chef Maria Deligianni with an incredible new menu of signature dishes, think classic with innovative edges and global flavours, ensuring BRIX remains even more of a big apple on London’s Bankside.
BRIX feels like a destination space in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district, a massive 8,500 sq ft loft – all exposed brick and beams, warehouse windows and wooden floors – set minutes from London Bridge, with a vibe and style inspired by Brooklyn’s all-day dining scenes. It may bear the look and feel of Williamsburg or Bushwick, but BRIX speaks with an unmistakable London accent.
Hailing from a small village by the Mediterranean Sea in the south of Greece, Maria Deligianni comes from a line of talented female cooks with strong culinary traditions. Maria’s dishes always tell a story – traditional with innovative edges featuring global flavours that transcend borders but always based on a dedication to the produce of land and sea. She honed her craft in different and diverse kitchens in Dublin, Andalusia and Los Angeles before calling London home.
Maria’s creativity and passion for crafting exciting dishes are evident in every plate at Brix. Highlights on her menu include Sea bream with skordalia, beet greens and lemon; Slow roasted brisket with saffron brown butter, pomegranate, pine nuts and pita; and Grilled marinated prawns with Patron hollandaise, tarragon and Aleppo chili crumble. Desserts are delectable must-tries: BBQ s’mores; Baklava cheesecake; Bananas Foster tarte tatin with banana peel ice-cream.
BRIX’s events and live music programme, wide-ranging cocktails and drinks, as well as its legendary roasts will, of course, remain a staple. Where else for long, lingering catch-ups over Sunday lunch?
BRIX has it all – the destination, industrial chic, Central London setting, the tempting menu full of global flavours, and a cool, convivial vibe unlike anywhere else in the city.
