This April, Great Scotland Yard Hotel will launch No.1 The Townhouse, a standalone private residence situated just next door to the hotel on London’s Great Scotland Yard.
Having undergone a full restoration, the Grade II listed townhouse will be the first of its kind, providing guests the seclusion and discretion of a private residence whilst benefiting from the service of the next-door 5-star hotel.
Launching on Monday 19th April 2021, the five storey, Georgian-fronted townhouse will offer guests over 2000 sqft of pure luxury and an exclusive London address of No.1 Great Scotland Yard. The building has been thoughtfully restored to celebrate the hallmark features of this classic British Townhouse whilst reflecting an interior scheme that tastefully balances traditional and modern influences.
Moments away from Covent Garden’s upscale shopping district and several of London’s most acclaimed restaurants, No.1 The Townhouse will be the perfect residence for those looking for a discreet, central London abode.
Entering through their own front door, guests will be welcomed with a complimentary deluxe seasonal hamper from nearby Fortnum & Mason and greeted for in-house check-in by the hotel team, who are available around the clock for the duration of their stay. Making themselves at home, guests can opt to relax in the drawing-room or basement den with original log burners, oversized sunken sofas, and Bang & Olufsen TVs.
With space to spread out, a private 10-seater dining room offers the perfect space to entertain family and friends. No.1 The Townhouse offers guests a range of catering options ranging from a full meal service – which offers a choice of menus prepared by the hotel’s in-house chefs. In addition, for guests looking to enjoy the comforts of the residence, an option to have shelves and fridges packed with fresh, seasonal fruit and snacks is also available, the perfect way to make guests feel immediately at home.
Two ensuite double bedrooms, both with roll-top copper baths complete the 2nd and 3rd floors, which offer unrivaled views across the rooftops of central London. Toiletries for the townhouse are sourced from iconic London perfumery Floris, who has been specially appointed to supply the new residence.
Whilst No.1 The Townhouse is completely private, access to the 5-star hotel facilities of Great Scotland Yard hotel next door is accessible through a short access corridor. This allows guests with direct access to a suite of services including 24-hour room service, their dedicated fitness centre, afternoon tea at The Parlour, snacks, and aperitif from The 40 Elephants lounge bar, and late-night drinks at Sibin, their secluded private whiskey bar.
