As the fanfare for White Truffle season sounds out around the capital, LUCA have been on a North Italian adventure to stake their claim to the ‘Tartuffo Bianco’ crown.
The Michelin star restaurant in Clerkenwell, renowned for its modern Italian sensibility, has produced a beautiful short film, ‘I hold you, dearly’ – a rich and dreamy anecdote to mark the launch of their special White Alba Truffle tasting menu.
The five course menu begins with their famed Parmesan fries and a selection of seasonal Italian antipasti to share, including Roast orkney scallop with Piedmont hazelnuts and parmesan and gratings of White Alba Truffle. For the primi course, an indulgent Gnocchi of potato and parmesan cacio e pepe will contrast the floral notes of the truffle.
For the main course, shavings of Alba’s finest will be served with Fillet of Hereford beef, Jerusalem artichoke and roasted and charred grelot onions. For dessert, truffle will be grated over LUCA’s revered tiramisu, offering an indulgent take on the restaurant’s signature dessert for the very first time. Those dining A La Carte can also enjoy the delicacy with the Taglierini cacio e pepe with White Alba Truffle gracing the menu. The prized White Alba Truffle is only in season for a short time of the year, and is the most sought after and rarest of truffles.
The White Truffle menu will be available at LUCA from 7th November until the end of the truffle season. Available for both lunch and dinner – priced at £195 per person.
