Last Minute Christmas Day Dining

The Gantry, boasting 291 rooms and hailed for its exciting food and drink offering, is open throughout the festive period and has just launched its luxurious festive menus, to add a little bit of extra sparkle to the holiday season. On the 1st Floor sits the hotel’s main dining destination, Union Social, the perfect spot to escape the cold and indulge, overlooking the cityscape’s twinkling lights. On Christmas Day, gather with loved ones and indulge in either a carefully curated festive buffet, priced at £48pp, which includes a selection of seasonal salads, roast turkey and a luscious array of desserts such as profiteroles, crumble, Christmas pudding or classic fine mince pies. Alternatively, there will be a three-course Christmas turkey meal set menu, priced at £60pp, as well as a kids menu, which includes two courses, priced at £16pp, so you and your family can unwrap the magic of Christmas together and enjoy a truly memorable experience.

The newly opened Tozi Grand Cafe at Battersea Power station is putting on a magical festive offering for £90 per person this Christmas Day. Situated on the ground floor of the new Art’otel which overlooks the buzzing new Electric Boulevard high street, this stylish state-of-the-art restaurant is the perfect spot for anyone seeking an Italian inspired Christmas feast.

The feast begins with a selection of antipasti dishes such as creamy burrata, and marinated mixed beets, as well as more traditional Italian plates such as beef carpaccio with pickled mushrooms and Pecorino Gran Riserva. To follow, guests can choose between four suitably decadent pasta-based primi dishes, including lobster linguine which no Italian Christmas feast is set without. Up next is secondi dishes, consisting of plates designed to be savoured slowly and enjoyed with friends, family and loved ones, such as halibut on the bone with seashore vegetables and salsa verde. To finish off the meal, a festive array of authentic Italian desserts will be on offer, ranging from panettone pudding with blood orange and custard to a coffee-infused pistachio tiramisu.

Nestled within the impressive red brick courtyard of St James’ Court just across from the five-starred Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences sits TreeHouse@51 restaurant and bar. On Christmas Day this year, guests are invited to indulge in a magical festive lunch with live music from a fabulous trio in the afternoon followed by a live band in the evening. This luxurious affair will begin with two melt-in-your mouth amuse bouches, consisting of a tuna ceviche and samphire, spicy coconut broth. To follow, a selection of imaginative yet seasonal starters and a light and refreshing palate cleansing sorbet which will then be served with a glass of champagne to keep the festivities flowing. Guests can indulge in one of four specially curated main courses including traditional and more novel dishes like stone bass served with a medley of mushrooms, parsley truffle butter and winter vegetables. A deluxe array of desserts will then be served to finish the meal off, enjoy the likes of Christmas pudding with kirsch marinated cherries and Remy Martin anglais, sumptuous mince pies, a rich and chocolatey yule log or cinnamon ice cream with champagne jelly.
