Kitchen at Holmes, the stylish neighbourhood Marylebone restaurant is stepping into summer with a fresh new menu. Head Chef Stefano Motta has introduced a Mediterranean-inspired menu with a strong focus on the grill – drawing on flavours from Italy, the Eastern Med and North Africa – alongside a flavour-packed menu designed for grazing al fresco and a weekend brunch soundtracked by live acoustic music.
At the centre of it all is the restaurant’s striking open-plan kitchen island, where Stefano and his brigade cook live in front of guests, bringing warmth, theatre and unmistakable energy to this Marylebone favourite.
Kitchen at Holmes – A New Taste of the Med
The new menus take cues from Motta’s travels across Italy, Southern and Eastern Europe and North Africa. Starters include Asparagus with whipped feta and pistachio; Purple Prawns with pea hummus, Italian celery and Za’atar; and Ras el Hanout Beef with artichoke tahini, broad beans, Za’atar and fried shallots, but the stars of the show are the dishes from the grill. Standouts include Red Mullet, Cuttlefish and Mussels with saffron fregola; Presa Iberica with chimichurri and ajo blanco; Whole Sea Bream with green harissa and Amalfi lemon. And the true showstopper? Octopus with labneh, Kalamata olives, capers, raw fennel, sundried tomatoes, Za’atar & smoked paprika. Freshly made pastas and vibrant salads complete the à la carte offering.
Kitchen at Holmes – Brunch Goes Acoustic
Setting the tone for the summer, Kitchen at Holmes’ new set brunch menu runs every Saturday both inside and on the terrace, paired exclusively with live acoustic music. Priced at £25 per person, the menu includes a welcome snack, hearty main and pud – it’s perfect for long, lazy catch-ups or a post-shopping break.
Mediterranean flavours meet brunch favourites with dishes like Crab Croquettes; Fried Octopus Bun with Tabasco mayonnaise and red cabbage; Tuscan Sausage with Fried Eggs; and Vegan Pancakes with lime mascarpone cream, blood oranges and five spice crumble. For those eager to devour even more, an extended brunch menu is available on Sundays.
Kitchen at Holmes – Al Fresco & All Day with Italicus
The covered, heated terrace on Baker Street offers a perfect perch for people-watching over Italicus cocktails, ideal for aperitivo hour – sip on Bergamot Negroni featuring Beefeater gin, Italicus, Cocchi Americano and rhubarb bitters; or the suitably summery Citrus Spritz with Italicus, Americano Bianco and prosecco. Enjoy alongside light bites from the all-day bar menu– including Lamb Kofta Lollipops with red harissa to the Mini Lobster Roll with black truffle and burnt better.
Designed by award-winning studio Digital Space, the interiors are as polished as the food – with soft greys, wood panelling and marble-topped tables. But it’s the open kitchen and its energy that bring the room to life, making Kitchen at Holmes an atmospheric spot for breakfast, brunch, dinner or a quick bite on the terrace.
With its warm, open-plan kitchen, buzzing terrace and a menu built for sharing, Kitchen at Holmes offers something for every occasion – from casual catch-ups to special celebrations.
