ISOLA BY SAN CARLO’S NEW SICILIAN SUMMER TERRACE

Wednesday 12th Jun 2024 |

It’s rosé season and what better way to celebrate than by transporting yourself to the sun-drenched shores of Sicily to enjoy a glass or two of Italy’s best kept secret, Calafuria Rosé.

Isola by San Carlo, situated in the quaint St Christopher’s Place just off Oxford Street, has teamed up with the Italian premium rosé brand on a new-look summer terrace, opening on 17th June.

Step into a serene escape and unwind amongst the perfect backdrop of vibrant green foliage, picture-perfect florals in terracotta pots and fairy lights strewn above tables. Capture the true essence of the Med with refreshing crisp Calafuria 2023 Rosato IGT Salento – the must-try pale pink tipple for this summer (available by the glass, bottle or magnum) – matched with authentic Italian cicchetti plates and enjoy those balmy summer days in chic Italian style!

Bringing bright and bold flavours to the fore, dishes include; Capesante al Forno, roasted scallops with olive oil, garlic and chilli topped with breadcrumbs; and the Burrata e Pomodoro, served with marinated beef tomato carpaccio and fresh basil to start. For mains, enjoy the Branzino Grigliato, a charcoal grilled whole sea bass, Tagliatelle Porcini with chestnut tagliatelle, porcini mushrooms, truffle and parmesan shavings; and the Scaloppine al Limone, a veal escalope cooked in butter and lemon, along with a variety of traditional Neapolitan-style pizzas including the Piccante, made with tomato, fior di latte, spicy Calabrian sausage and chilli.

And for dessert, indulge in the Coppa Golosa, a giant ice cream bowl for two, featuring homemade chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla ice cream with Ferrero Rocher and warm Nutella sauce.

Perfect for leisurely lunch time catch ups, post-shopping eats and al fresco gatherings, the Isola by San Carlo x Calafuria terrace is open seven days a week from lunch through to dinner, running from 17th June – 17th August.
