On Electric Boulevard at Battersea Power Station is TOZI Pizzeria & Cicchetti Bar, named after an affectionate Venetian slang term for ‘a close-knit group of friends’, Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, the menu heroes inventive pizzas, sharing Italian cicchetti and stand-out Italian cocktails.
With a relaxed and welcoming vibe, bring your besties, the family and four-legged friends for a relaxed dining experience. Cicchetti, includes crispy, fresh calamari fritti; aubergine parmigiana and burrata and beef carpaccio whilst larger seasonal plates feature an indulgent lobster linguine and wild boar pappardelle.
The star of the show are the pizzas, with impeccably sourced toppings that are a cut above the rest. Favourites include black truffle with mascarpone, portobello mushroom and parmigiano; the Napoli with fior di latte, San Marzano tomatoes, anchovies, olive and garlic; and a decadent poached lobster with roasted Datterini tomatoes, gremolata and sea vegetables. A vegan Delicia pumpkin with vegan ‘nduja, caramelised onion, tenderstem broccoli and crispy sage, topped with parmigiano vegano is a must try for those looking for a plant-based option.
Behind the bar, TOZI keep things Italian with a carefully curated regional wine list and cocktails that dance between classic and creative. Choose from three variations of barrel-aged Negroni including the Negroni Ristretto with Plymouth gin, coffee-brewed Campari, blackcurrant vermouth, vanilla and Amaretto and the Bergamot Sbagliato made with an in-house vermouth blend, Campari, bergamot and prosecco. The special Sicilian Tiramisu Punch with Havana 3-year-old rum, Tozi coffee liqueur, pistachio marsala, crème and cacao is dessert in a glass.
Welcoming all ages, there’s a free ‘Sunday Kids Club’ between 12.30pm and 4.30pm where parents can relax with friends and family over lunch whilst little ones are entertained at the supervised the ‘Kids’ Table. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome at Tozi so no need to leave anyone at home.
Next door is TOZI Counter, an intimate café – for eat-in or grab-and-go – serving freshly made pastries, bomboloni, pizza slices, sandwiches and coffees daily, plus a list of select wines by the glass and bottle. Connecting the Pizzeria with the Counter grab is an expansive outdoor terrace – heated in the winter and decked out with umbrellas in the summer, it’s the ultimate spot to sit back, sip on a seasonal spritz and watch the world go by.
