Ocado just bought a whole new level to the debate. Working in partnership with gastro-physician, Jozef Youssef, the brand has launched a new ice cream pizza recipe, complete with artisan pizza crust base, mascarpone cheese, vanilla ice cream, pepperoni and the most contentious ingredient, pineapple.

‘Pizza-My Heart’ is part of a menu created by Jozef, which uses ingredients from Ocado’s range with options designed to satisfy all cravings and suit all tastes.

Use the recipe as a base to reimagine this savoury classic and personalise with your choice of toppings.

Coffee fans, assemble – this ice-cold breakfast brew is guaranteed to get you out of the right side of bed in the morning.

Created by gastro-physician, Jozef Youssef, in partnership with online supermarket, Ocado, this caffeine-laden luxury combines salted caramel ice cream afloat a bitter turmeric espresso.

The aptly named ‘Espresso-ly For You’ uses ingredients from Ocado’s range and is a dessert that is bound to taste good and leave you feeling good too.

Sounds sweet, but there is some science behind it; topped with a sprinkle of dark chocolate, coffee nibs and natural almonds, all known to stimulate production of dopamine aka the ‘feel good’ chemical, you’ll reap the benefits of a motivation boost to tackle any task ahead.

Ice Cream Recipes

Serving size: 1 cup. Preparation time: 1hr 30 minutes

  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 2g turmeric, plus extra for dusting
  • 4 tbsp salted butter, cubed
  • 60ml double cream
  • 8g coffee beans
  • 80g Jude’s Salted Caramel
  • 8g M&S natural almonds
  • 6g Harrods dark chocolate & coffee nibs bar

  1. Start by making your caramel turmeric. Add your turmeric powder to 60ml of boiled water and leave it to cool to room temperature.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add sugar and the turmeric mix. Bring to a simmer, stirring often, until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook until it’s a deep golden colour without stirring.
  4. Once your turmeric mix is the right colour, take it off the heat and immediately stir in your butter and cream, being careful of the bubbles that form.
  5. Leave the mixture to cool slightly in the pan, then transfer it to a container to cool completely.
  6. Meanwhile, make your espresso coffee and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. When everything has cooled, scoop the ice cream into a wide-rimmed short glass or tumbler.
  8. Use a small sieve to dust the ice cream with turmeric powder, then pour the coffee over the ice cream.
  9. Drizzle the turmeric caramel over the top, followed by a sprinkle of chopped almonds. Finish with a helping of finely grated chocolate.
