Can you believe the festive season is well and truly on its way?

With this in mind, we wanted to let you in on a few ways you can add that festive feeling to your cabin, to create a cosy Christmas vibe in your home away from home.

So, whether you’re simply hiring a cabin for the festivities or you own a static caravan or cabin somewhere in the UK, here’s our guide to some of the best Christmas breaks UK.

Blankets and throws

Wintertime is all about wrapping up and getting cosy by a fire or on the sofa with a feel-good movie.

A blanket not only signals relaxation, but it also does a lot for the room – it can add a pop of colour, as well as a touch of texture.

They can add a touch of Christmas to a room too, especially if it’s red or designed with a Christmas theme.

Will you be grabbing a Christmas blanket and cosying up on the sofa to watch a Christmas movie with your loved ones in your cabin?

Christmas tree

When it comes to bringing that festive feeling into a room or home, there’s nothing that screams Christmas more than a Christmas tree, twinkling with lights and hanging baubles.

Just because you’re heading off to a holiday home for the festivities, doesn’t mean you can’t have a tree!

You could bring a small 3ft tree to place in the corner, or go all out and purchase a real tree from a local business near where you’re staying – if you have the room for a tree in your accommodation that is.

If you own the holiday home where you’re staying and know you can’t fit a full-grown tree, you could opt for a small tabletop tree, just to add that Christmas feeling to your place.

Snacks

When the festive season arrives, the shops and stores fill with delicious foods, perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Or, you could make a selection of festive foods as an activity with your children whilst staying in your cabin, such as baking gingerbread houses, or mince pies.

Reed diffusers

When it comes to Christmas, one of the biggest things that makes a place feel more like home is the smells and scents. Whether this be cinnamon, freshly baked gingerbread people, or the fresh smell of a real Christmas tree.

Luckily for you, you can bring all these smells into your home away from home with a reed diffuser. With a wide range of scents to choose from, will you opt for a Christmas tree smell or winter berries? Or will you go for baked goods? The choice is yours!

Lighting

Lighting is everything, especially at Christmas time. Whether it’s the twinkling lights of a decorated tree, the flashing lights of a house adorned with festive lights, or the flicker of the flames within the fireplace.

Lighting can help you create a cosy atmosphere, so why not change the lighting in your cabin, light the fire, grab your blanket, and settle down for a Christmas movie?

So, how will you be bringing the festive season into your home away from home this Christmas?
