A recent study by Otherworld identified the top celebrity-approved vacation spots of 2025. Ibiza, Spain is one of the top celebrity-approved vacation spots of 2025, with stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Kendall Jenner spotted there in the last two years. The spot has over 20 million Instagram tags, and offers the most fine dining options (136). Five-star hotels average $695 a night, which is less than many other luxury destinations.

The Dominican Republic stands out for its number of luxury stays, with over 3,200 resorts and villas, more than any other place here. It may not be as Instagram-famous as Ibiza, but it still pulls strong celebrity interest, including Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. At $359 per night, it also offers some of the lowest five-star rates.

Tulum, Mexico is another favorite, attracting celebrities like Dua Lipa and Austin Butler. It’s slightly more popular on Instagram than the Dominican Republic, with 9.4 million tags. But what really sets it apart is the cost, at $251 per night, making it the most budget-friendly luxury spot on this list.

Amalfi Coast, Italy pulls in big names like Katy Perry and Dua Lipa and offers 1,527 resorts and 89 fine dining spots. But prices jump sharply here. The average luxury stay costs $1,680, more than six times what you’d pay in Tulum.

Lake Como, Italy is another celebrity approved vacation spot of 2025, attracting couples like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. It offers one of the highest numbers of luxury accommodations, at 1,115, and is featured about 2.2 million times on Instagram.

Gstaad, Switzerland has been visited by Natalie Portman, Salma Hayek, and Roger Federer. It’s the smallest and quietest destination on the list, with only 30 luxury resorts, but still offers 78 fine dining spots, the same as Lake Como. A five-star night here averages $752.

Mykonos, Greece has drawn celebrities like Matt Damon, Demi Moore, and the Hemsworth brothers. It appears in 5.7 million Instagram tags and is also the most expensive destination listed, with five-star hotels averaging $2,604 per night.

Turks and Caicos has seen recent visits from Kylie Jenner, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and Bruce Willis. With 157 luxury resorts and 32 fine dining venues, it offers fewer options than most destinations on this list. The location features about 1.2 million posts, yet the average cost of a five-star stay remains higher at $1,043 per night.

A spokesperson from Otherworld commented on the study: “Some places attract stars because they’re remote and private, others because they’re easy to post about. What’s interesting is how much that mix varies. You’ve got destinations where everything’s built around luxury, and others where it’s about vibe and visibility. That difference is shaping how people, celebrity or not, think about where they want to go next.”
