A stylish, relaxed destination for every occasion
The first Browns restaurant opened in Brighton 50 years ago and there are now 25 of them spread across the country.
One of the most iconic is the Covent Garden branch which is housed in the grandeur of the Grade II-listed Westminster County Court building, just around the corner from Leicester Square station.
Having recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment, it’s a beautifully elegant space with high ceilings, different sections spread across myriad levels and large windows with the bright summer sunshine streaming in. The perfect venue for any kind of get-together.
The contemporary eatery’s comprehensive menu is attractively adorned with colourful flowers and offers a mouthwatering range of British dishes and classic brasserie favourites inspired by seasonal ingredients. Think shepherds pie, burgers, fish pie and fish and chips. There’s also a good selection of the freshest of British fish, steaks and lobster, and an impressive vegetarian and vegan section. The restaurant is also open for brunch, offers a dedicated gluten-free menu, serves Sunday roasts, and of course there’s their glorious afternoon tea with a cornucopia of sweet and savoury delights. Something for every occasion.
The Spey whisky and cocktail bar serves up an array of tempting tasty snacks and refreshing cocktails. For summer their spritz menu includes the totally delicious Chandon garden spritz, there’s all the classic cocktails as well as an extensive wine list. This reinvented Covent Garden institution is now even more appealing with its stylish surroundings and delicious, beautifully presented food. Welcome back Browns.
