Friday 08th Nov 2024 |

Bankside Hotel’s Art Yard Bar & Kitchen announces a new menu in time for the autumn season. Their new seasonal offering blends sustainability with artistry, featuring thoughtfully sourced ingredients and a zero-waste approach that highlights the hotel’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and eco-conscious dining.

The dishes, inspired by traditional recipes, have been developed through food upcycling process, delivering modern, innovative flavours with a creative twist. With shorter and darker days emerging, the menu satisfies cravings for warm, hearty dishes which reflect the autumnal season. Be it a light lunch or grazing dinner, the stylish, art-filled restaurant maintains a relaxed atmosphere with refined touches, welcoming families, couples or groups of friends to enjoy the menu.

From 12-5pm Art Yard offers various lunchtime classics as well as some exciting, tasty bites which can be mixed and matched, eaten solo or shared. Guests can enjoy flavour-packed dishes like the tuna nicoise salad; the beefy burger topped with Applewood cheddar and pulled ox cheek; and the tomato and shallot tart tatin which is complete with a plant-based burrata.

Art Yard has also introduced a new dinner menu, available from 5 to 10pm, with highlight dishes including a wild mushroom arancini; Cornish lamb cutlets paired with chermoula, aubergine purée, tomato and olive jus; and slow roasted grass-fed short rib with chermoula sauce and a mixed leaf salad. To finish, the tiramisu is a perfect sweet treat that uses upcycled coffee grounds.

Signature must-try sips include the Borough Coffee Martini, made with Black Cow vodka, Fair Coffee liqueur, and Borough Coffee Co espresso; and Our Bee’s Knees, blending East London Dry Gin with lemon juice and Bankside honey syrup, harvested from the Bankside’s very own rooftop bees.

Autumnal London-goers looking to visit cultural attractions nearby are also invited to enjoy a discount when dining, with Art Yard’s set price Culture Fixe menu, offering three courses with welcome bubbles for £35.

Guests can prolong their dining experience by exploring the Art Maker’s studio, where they can watch artists practice their creative expertise and be taken on an informative and artistic journey. Bankside’s current artist in residence, Josie Clouting, is a landscape painter developing her practice whilst exploring the different ways people and artists connect to sustainability and landscape. Josie will be in residence in Art Yard Studio from 9th September to 15th December 2024.
