Fans of the popular Tequila Rosé Strawberry Cream Liqueur will be delighted to learn that Aldi is launching its very own alternative, El Toro Strawberry Cream Tequila – and it costs just £9.99 a bottle.
Available in stores from 15th October, the latest addition to Aldi’s award-winning spirits line up boasts a delicious blend of sweet strawberry cream flavours with the supermarket’s enticingly rich El Toro tequila.
Hitting shelves as the trend for ‘pink tequila’ and rose-coloured spirits rises, savvy shoppers could save themselves £4 compared to rival, Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream Liqueur.
Full on flavour and sweet on the palate, the new El Toro Strawberry Cream Tequila can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or as part of this deliciously creamy cocktail:
Strawberry & Raspberry Tequila Martini
Ingredients:
· 70ml El Toro Strawberry Cream Tequila
· 25ml Saint Gérmont Vanilla Vodka
· 20ml summer fruits juice
· 25g fresh raspberries
· 25g fresh strawberries
· Ice cubes
· Raspberries and orange rind to decorate
Method:
1. Mash the strawberries and raspberries with the summer fruits juice and put the pulp through a strainer (remember to discard seeds). Put the puree to one side.
2. Put the El Toro Strawberry Cream Tequila and Saint Gérmont Vanilla Vodka in a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake well.
3. Strain into a coupe glass then swirl over the puree and serve decorated with some raspberries and orange rind.
Aldi’s new El Toro Strawberry Cream Tequila and Tequila Blanco will be available in stores nationwide and via Click & Collect from 15th October, while stocks last.
