A wine from one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious regions – the kind served in Michelin starred restaurants and top London steakhouses like Hawksmoor[2], where a single bottle can cost over £150 – is now available at Aldi for just £19.99.

The NEW Margaux Declassified 2023 (£19.99, 75cl) headlines Aldi’s festive wine range, offering a truly unique and rare find from Bordeaux’s esteemed Margaux region. ‘Declassified’ is a subtle nod towards the wine’s heritage, where a world-renowned Château has given Aldi’s buyers access to a small parcel from its cellars.

This premium red delivers herbal aromas of cassis, cedar and ripe cherries, with a smooth, silky palate and a long, elegant finish. Its balanced character makes it an ideal match for roast beef, lamb, or a festive spread, and a perfect choice for Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or gifting to wine enthusiasts.

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “This is a rare chance to enjoy a wine from one of the world’s most sought-after regions without the premium price tag. It’s the kind of bottle that would usually be saved for special occasions in top restaurants – now available in the Aldi wine aisle.”

The Margaux Declassified 2023 is available in Aldi stores nationwide now.
