Nature’s Path Granola Flapjacks

Recipe

500g Nature’s Path Nice & Nobbly Granola

100g butter

100g maple syrup

1 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 large free-range egg

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter and maple syrup together until they begin to bubble.
  • Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl big enough for all ingredients to fit in, thoroughly whisk the egg then pour over the granola, add the ginger and cinnamon and toss together until well coated.
  • Once sufficiently cooled, pour into the bowl the butter and maple syrup mixture, mix everything together until sticky and cohesive.
  • Line a 20cm square/rectangular tin with baking paper and then tip the flapjack mixture into this.
  • Press the mixture into the edges and compact into a dense layer, it’s important to press the mixture down really well as this is what creates enough solidity to slice once it’s cooled.
  • Place into the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and lightly score the flapjack into 12 pieces allow to completely cool before cutting through otherwise it may crumble.
  • The flapjack will keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
