Revealed: Côte at Home’s delicious Valentine’s selection

Thursday 23rd Jan 2025 |

Côte at Home has created a special treat for lovers this Valentine’s with a luxurious home-dining menu designed by Gordon Ramsay’s former Executive Chef.

Highly respected chef, Steve Allen—who has worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants—has used the finest ingredients to showcase classic French cuisine for this year’s Valentine’s dinner.

The romantic treat features Lobster Thermidor, fillet steak, and Duck Confit, complemented by some of Steve’s signature dishes, including expert wine pairings.

The Côte at Home Valentine’s menu for two people features three set menus with two starters and two desserts to choose from.

Top of the bill is the Valentine’s Deluxe Menu (£84.95-£99.95). The perfect Valentine’s Day dinner date at home showcases Lobster Thermidor, served with French fries and Tenderstem Broccoli with Lemon Aioli. This meal box recommends Les Préludes Mâcon Villages as a wine pairing. This white Burgundy brings a buttery richness to complement the lobster, while the hints of lemon peel resonate well with the creamy lemon aioli.

Then there’s the Valentine’s Premium Menu, an elevated dinner for two, starring succulent Chateaubriand (£54.95-£59.95). The perfect Valentine’s Day dinner date night main is served with a side of Tenderstem Broccoli & Lemon Aioli and Roasted Confit New Potatoes. Côte at Home recommends Lurton Bordeaux as a wine pairing for this choice. The fine Bordeaux from the famous Lurton family brings ripe black fruit flavours, a hint of smoke, and firm tannins, perfect to pair with Chateaubriand.

And finally, there’s the Valentine’s Box for two, inspired by the indulgent cuisine of the French Alps (£39.95-£44.95). Classic Duck Confit is served with Sour Cherry Jus, Tenderstem Broccoli, Lemon Aioli and Dauphinois Potatoes. Les Mougeottes Pinot Noir is a classic wine pairing with duck. Pinot Noir brings fresh red-fruited acidity to balance the rich duck and mirror the flavour of the cherry jus, while the savoury herbal aromas complement the dish.

The starters for all three Valentine’s options include Seared Scallops with Bacon and Peas, or Baked Camembert served with Sourdough Baguette, Cornichons, and Honey.

Finish off your meal with a choice of delectable desserts: either Cherry Lattice Tarts with pistachio ganache or a classic Crème Caramel with Madeleines.

There’s also a special drink offering of Lillet Valentine’s Spritz, a citrus-infused rosé liqueur from Bordeaux, blended with raspberry & orange blossom soda and garnished with dried orange (£12.65).

Other Valentine’s gifts available include Chocolate Fondue (£14.95) with Côte’s much-loved rich chocolate sauce, served warm with Madeleines and Palmiers for dipping. There are also lots of delicious treats including truffles, Champagne, and much, much more.

Côte’s Executive Chef, Steve Allen, has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Pétrus, and opened Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s (which won a Michelin star within its first year). During Steve’s time at Claridge’s, he went from Junior Sous Chef to Head Chef and then Executive Chef, and worked on all of Gordon Ramsay’s books from Secrets to World Kitchen.

Steve said: “We’re delighted to have launched our Valentine’s collection with three exciting set menus for two and a range of gift ideas. We hope our chocolate fondue will be as popular as it was last year! All dishes and menus are designed to be enjoyed with someone special and are available across Valentine’s week.”
