AL FRESCO SEASON ARRIVES AT SUMI, NOTTING HILL

Thursday 13th Apr 2023 |

With the warmer weather finally here and plenty of long, sunny days ahead, neighbourhood favourite SUMI in Notting Hill is pleased to declare its spacious terrace is officially open for al fresco drinking and dining once more.

Situated on Westbourne Grove, SUMI is the perfect spot for leisurely lunches with friends as well as date night dinners and everything in between. Take a seat on the spacious, covered terrace – complete with cosy blankets for those cooler evenings – and tuck into the menu of inventive Japanese dishes courtesy of head chef Christian Onia. There’s no better place to while away an afternoon in the sunshine.

New to the menu and a must-try is the yellowtail sashimi salad – the finest quality yellowtail is thinly sliced and then finished with a zingy and refreshing yuzuoshu dressing, shiso oil and cress. Warm days call for fresh light dishes and the summer menu also features SUMI’s signature sushi and sashimi alongside the restaurant’s perennially popular ‘temaki’ hand rolls, including the hotate with diced scallop and shiso flowers and the toru-taku – minced fatty tuna with fermented radish, chives and soy also feature.

Creative cocktails demand to be tasted – the Little Wasabi, a mix of Haku Vodka, lime, shiso syrup and wasabi, packs a real punch, whilst Dream Valley is a refreshing serve with Arette Tequila Blanco, Italicus, cucumber and lime mint sancho cordial. An extensive wine, champagne and sake list is also available, alongside beers and top shelf spirits.
