Inside The White Horse Fulham’s Beautiful New Refurbishment

Fulham favourite, The White Horse, affectionately known as ‘The Sloaney Pony,’ is now welcoming pub-goers following its stunning refurbishment. The iconic Victorian watering hole has been fully transformed to include a new dining space and a refreshed look throughout the pub and garden.

Always a popular drinking spot, food is now firmly in the spotlight too. Guests can enjoy an opening offer of three courses from the menu’s new standout dishes for £36pp, available Monday to Friday from 9th February to 7th March.

Up on the first floor, a calmer dining space offers a relaxed setting away from the bustle of the main bar, making it ideal for long lunches, leisurely dinners or celebratory get-togethers. Expect elevated takes on British pub classics, created using seasonal, high-quality ingredients.

Starters include Beef Tartare with cured egg yolk and sourdough toast; King Prawn Cocktail; and Whipped Goats Cheese with Beetroot Carpaccio. Mains range from Brick Chicken with lemon, garlic & chive butter sauce to Pan Roasted Fillet of Cod with Roscoff onion purée, artichoke and truffle pesto. There’s also a grill section featuring British and Irish steaks, with daily changing aged cuts and sharing steaks showcased on the specials blackboard.

Sundays remain firmly rooted in tradition, with generous roasts including a 16oz Chateaubriand served with Yorkshire pudding, thyme-roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables and lashings of gravy.

Alongside the new food offering, the entire pub has undergone a sensitive refurbishment, refreshing the interiors while retaining its much-loved character. Upstairs, the all-day dining space blends classic panelling with warm lighting and rich red tones, alongside the introduction of a new 12-seat private dining room, The Saddle Room.

Downstairs, the bar remains the beating heart of the pub, now featuring an extended bar, additional seating and improved flow. The Coach House and its terrace have also been updated to create a light and airy space, ideal for gatherings with friends.

The crown jewel is the front garden, which has been transformed into a larger all-season destination with more space for al fresco dining. Expect more covered tables, high-top seating surrounding the trees, plus a new outdoor bar serving craft brews – the perfect spot for soaking up the sunshine.

Still very much a proper pub at its core, The White Horse now welcomes locals seven days a week – whether for a quick pint, a proper meal upstairs, or a leisurely Sunday roast with friends.
