Hawarden Estate: Three nights for the price of two

Friday 08th Nov 2024 |

By their own admission, there’s just too much to do at Flintshire’s Hawarden Estate for a weekend.

By the time one’s tucked into a brunch at the field-to-table farm shop café, strolled through the 6,000 acres of parkland, braved a dip in the spring-fed lake, joined a creative course in the Walled Garden School or dined at the estate’s pub, The Glynne Arms, guests will be wishing they had an extra night – a little more time with which to truly unwind and relax.

Good news, then, that from January 2025 until the end of March 2025, the estate will be offering an extra night for free on all two-night stays.

WHERE TO STAY

Guests at Hawarden have the option of three different, but all equally beautiful, places to bed down and create a home-from-home. For an utterly-romantic stay, there’s the Beekeeper’s Hut that sits in the heart of the Walled Garden. This craftsman-built shepherd’s hut, includes a comfy double bed and wood burning stove, while there’s a separate campfire kitchen, and a wood-fired hot tub. For larger groups, try Gardener’s Cottage, which sleeps up to 9 guests and offers all the home comforts, with four bedrooms, its own private garden and cosy sitting room. Or, for a unique, one-of-a-kind stay, head to the West End a guest apartment within the walls of Hawarden Castle itself. Gaze out through mullioned windows onto the ruins of the 13th-century castle, or simply marvel at the property’s amazing collection of original art, from David Shrigley to Damien Hirst.

All guests booking the extra night offer, also receive a free sauna session in the estate’s wood-fired sauna.

Prices: Three-night stays at Beekeeper’s Hut costs from £300, sleeping two, at Gardener’s Cottage from £790, sleeping nine, and The West End from £2,000, sleeping 10. Offer available 5 January to 31 March excluding school holidays and Bank Holidays.
