The Most Sought-After Cosmetic Surgeries in the UK, According to Experts
Clinichub, experts in cosmetic procedures for both medical and vanity reasons, has revealed which treatments are the most sought-after in the UK, according to Google search data.
According to the data, there are 17,000 monthly searches, on average, for ‘gastric sleeve’ each month in the UK, followed closely by ‘rhinoplasty’, which receives 16,000 searches each month.
The term ‘penis enlargement’ is the ninth most searched cosmetic procedure in the UK, with Britons making the second-highest number of searches worldwide, behind the US, where it’s Googled around 18,000 times a month.
Similarly, ‘vaginoplasty’, surgery to tighten and repair vaginal tissue, often after childbirth or ageing, sees 33,000 monthly searches in the US, with the UK again ranking second for global search interest.
The top ten procedures being Googled by Brits are:
| Search term | Average monthly searches |
| Gastric sleeve | 17,000 |
| Rhinoplasty | 16,000 |
| Labiaplasty | 10,000 |
| Gastric balloon | 7,700 |
| Boob job | 6,000 |
| Breast augmentation | 5,800 |
| Eyelid surgery | 5,500 |
| Vaginoplasty | 4,900 |
| Penis enlargement | 4,200 |
| Breast lift | 3,600 |
Dr. Yunus Yapalak, General Surgeon at Clinichub discusses the research:
“Gastric sleeve procedures have long been among the most requested treatments at Clinichub, so it’s no surprise to see them near the top of search trends. The fact that approximately 17,000 people look into this procedure each month shows how markedly awareness of weight-loss surgery has grown.
In the UK, interest is not limited to appearance; patients are also aiming to improve metabolic health markers, support the management of chronic conditions, and enhance everyday quality of life. Our clinical observations suggest the decision is health-led and holistic, rather than purely aesthetic.
It’s also important to remember that while a lot of these searches will be due to vanity reasons, many of these searches will also be for medical reasons. For example, weight loss surgery can significantly reduce type 2 diabetes.”
The data suggests a notable shift in UK cosmetic interest, from traditional enhancement procedures like breast augmentation towards functional and confidence-driven surgeries such as gastric and eyelid procedures. Treatments that promise both aesthetic and lifestyle improvements are seeing the strongest growth.
Clinichub’s experts note that minimally invasive and confidence-restoring treatments are increasingly driving patient decision-making, particularly among those seeking subtle, natural-looking results rather than dramatic transformations.
