‘Cocktails and Cake’ – The Kensington’s Perfect Serves

The Kensington

As London gets ready for its favourite sporting event of the season, the tennis players won’t be the only ones serving as The Kensington launches a specially-curated ‘Cocktails and Cakes’ menu which will run from the 1st of July until the 14th of July.

For the duration of the tournament, The Kensington will be serving a superb selection of Wimbledon-themed sweet treats for you to enjoy. The man of the match has to be the Tennis Ball – a gorgeously green Matcha sponge served with a perfectly juicy and sweet pineapple mousse. However, the strawberry Panna Cotta served with a mouthwatering Pimms and lavender reduction is definitely a close second. If you prefer to keep things traditional, then don’t worry, you will still be able to get your hands on a delicious bowl of British strawberries with pouring cream.

If that wasn’t enough, the team have created a special, tennis-inspired cocktail menu, in partnership with Sipsmith London. If gin is your go-to tipple, a Lob, made with Sipsmith Gin, pandan, citrus and Champagne jasmine coral, is definitely one for you. As is Tea-nnis, which is made from Sipsmith’s London Cup, Earl Grey tea, nectarines and soda water. The Tie-break, which is made with Sipsmith Vodka, ginger cordial, pink grapefruit and black pepper, is not only delicious, but perfectly refreshing and tangy too.

While the cakes (£12) will only be served throughout the competition, these fabulous cocktails (£17) will be available to sip on The Kensington’s porticos all summer, long after the final set has been won.
