Celebrate Diwali with The Cinnamon Collection

With Diwali (12th November), India’s festival of light fast approaching, Vivek Singh, Executive Chef of the Cinnamon Collection, and his team are marking the occasion with celebratory menus at The Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen City and Cinnamon Bazaar, available from 30th October – 18th November. 


The Cinnamon Club welcomes diners to enjoy a decadent five-course sharing feast amongst the book-lined shelves of the Grade-II Old Westminster. Begin with a festive cocktail and Diwali canapés, including kachori, a crisp lentil dumpling with tamarind chutney – before indulging in dishes of tandoori long legged partridge breast with peanut and dried mango; and clove smoked saddle of Romney Marsh lamb with spiced lamb mince. Finish with a trio of Diwali sweet treats, coffee and petit fours. £65 for five courses inclusive of a welcome cocktail and canapés.


An oasis of colour in Devonshire Square, Cinnamon Kitchen City is celebrating with a nine-course sharing feast. Delve into myriad of perfectly spiced dishes including Punjabi samosas with curried white peas, onion and chilli; tandoori chicken leg tikka; grilled pink aubergine with a peanut crumble and a sesame tamarind sauce; and the restaurant’s signature dish, Kashmiri-style lamb. Finish off with a sweet malai kulfi, gulab jamun and chocolate roll. £45 per person based on a minimum of two sharing.


Bringing the vibrant energy of the world’s bustling marketplaces to the streets of Covent Garden, Cinnamon Bazaar’s spectacular nine-course sharing Diwali feast is served against a backdrop of vibrant colour, patterned tiles and illuminating handing lanterns. Enjoy a Falooda Swizzle cocktail on arrival before feasting on dishes, including tandoori chicken malai tikka with coriander chutney; and Malabar boatman’s kingfish curry with kokum berry. For a sweet treat, enjoy the heavenly pistachio kulfi. £50 per person for a minimum of two guests.

For those north of the capital, country house hotel, Sopwell House in St Albans, have come together with The Cinnamon Club to host a spectacular, one-off Diwali ball on Friday 10th November from 7pm complete with entertainment and fireworks. The hotel’s Executive Head Chef Gopi Chandran has partnered with Vivek Singh and Group Training and Development Chef Rakesh Nair of The Cinnamon Collection to create a lavish feast – expect dishes including chargrilled Scottish fillet with carom seeds alongside sharing mains of slow braised leg of Kentish lamb. £95 per person inclusive of a cocktail reception, canapés, coffee and petit fours.
