Pancake day has always been one of the best yearly traditions. We all remember the excitement of our first pancake flip (or fail?). Just because you’re an adult now doesn’t mean the magic needs to be lost. 

In fact, Pancake day just got better as an adult – because now you add booze! Online drinks retailer,The Bottle Club has revealed their favourite homemade boozy pancake recipes for an ultimate day of indulgence.


Beer Pancakes

Whilst it might not be your first thought when it comes to pancakes, adding beer to your pancakes can make them lovely and fluffy. The Bottle Club recommends this recipe to all the fluffy pancake lovers – plus it’s the perfect recipe for when you realised you used all the milk up on the morning cereal!





  1. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a bowl.
  2. Pour in the egg, beer and melted butter; stir with a whisk just until smooth
  3. Preheat your frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Coat with oil.
  5. Pour about 60ml of batter into the pan.
  6. Pair with your favourite beer for the ultimate combo!

Baileys Pancakes

  1. Whisk butter, sugar, salt and the egg in a mixing bowl.
  2. Slowly add milk and baileys until combined.
  3. Add flour gradually and stir until smooth.
  4. Heat pan to medium heat and add oil or butter
  5. Pour 60ml of batter into the pan and spread out into a circle shape.
  6. Enjoy with a Baileys cocktail

Chambord Pancakes

Who doesn’t love a fruity pancake? Chambord, a raspberry liquor, is the star ingredient in this boozy pancake recipe. A buttery based pancakes accompanied by a fruity drizzle, you can’t go wrong.





  1. Mix the flour, milk and 50ml of Chambord and stir with a whisk just until smooth
  2. Preheat your frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Coat with oil.
  4. Pour about 60ml of batter into the pan.


For the Drizzle:

  1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over steaming water,
  2. Gradually combine the double cream and whisk thoroughly
  3. Add the 50ml of Chambord and whisk until it’s of a thick consistency
  4. Generously pour the sauce over the pancakes.
