Tobias Peyerl takes over culinary command at verve by sven

A new culinary chapter begins: Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is delighted to welcome Tobias Peyerl as the new head chef at verve by sven. From 1 February 2025, the experienced top chef will take over the management of the verve by sven, which has been awarded 1 Michelin star, succeeding Sebastian Titz.

Sven Wassmer, who is responsible for the verve by sven concept, will act as his creative mentor in designing the menus. Peyerl will also work closely with Executive Chef Nadine Wächter-Moreno, who oversees the overall culinary management of the resort, working with her to design the offerings at Quellenhof and Clinic Bad Ragaz. ‘With Tobias Peyerl, we are expanding our team with a talented chef who not only impresses with his international experience, but also brings fresh ideas and a modern perspective to the kitchen. We are very much looking forward to working with him!’ states Wächter-Moreno.

Peyerl brings with him an impressive career with experience from renowned restaurants in Switzerland and Germany. In addition, his travels through Asia and his work as a private chef in international cities such as Munich, Vienna, Milan, London and Kitzbühel have provided him with an international perspective on modern cuisine. He has also worked at the Uma and Ma Tim Raue in Berlin (1 Michelin star), where he further developed his expertise in top-class gastronomy, as well as in various positions at exclusive establishments such as the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz and as Executive Sous Chef at the Volkshaus Basel. As Executive Chef at the Louis Hotel in Munich and currently as Head Chef at the Oak Grill & Pool Patio at the Bürgenstock Resort, he has made a name for himself with his modern and sustainable kitchen philosophy. Peyerl is now looking forward to new challenges: ‘The philosophy of verve by sven immediately appealed to me. The combination of gourmet cuisine with lightness and conscious enjoyment is an exciting concept that I would like to develop further together with Sven Wassmer and the team,’ says Peyerl.
