After a scenic drive from Leeds, I rolled into the Netherby Estate on a rather drizzly summer day in June and was greeted by the imposing grade II* listed mansion house surrounded by manicured lawns and gardens. After a friendly welcome from the reception team, I was shown to my accommodation, the very well-appointed Clocktower apartment.

Now that’s not to say that the staff weren’t on the ball. In fact they couldn’t do enough for me, but the whole feel was very much in keeping with the new Shoreditch I’d just seen. Very cool very chilled.
