A must for those spending a Sunday perusing the local Colombia Road Flower and Brick Lane markets, Executive Chef Ryan Matheson’s new Sunday Roast menu at The Brush East London Grand Cafe is filled with classic and comforting dishes.
Whether you’re big on beef or a champion of chicken, there’s a roast for every taste, think Roast Striploin of Beef (£28) with thyme gravy; Half Roast Corn-Fed Chicken (£22) served with a gravy; and the Mushroom Wellington (£22) paired with a rich roast onion gravy. Whilst for fish fans, the Whole Grilled Seabass (£48 to share) glazed with burnt butter and capers is a true highlight. A requirement for any Sunday lunch, all The Brush’s new roast dishes are served with a Yorkshire pudding, crispy roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and roast carrots.
Those keen to raise a toast to the weekend can make a beeline for The Brush’s new special Bloody Mary menu (£10 each). Keep things simple with a Classic Bloody Mary; sip on the smoky Bloody Maria with Ojo De Dios Mezcal, Hoxton Bloody Mix and a smoked salt rim; or lap up London’s Mary with Plymouth Gin, Hoxton Bloody Mix, fermented pickle and celery salt rim. The Brush’s Sunday Roast menu will also offer guests the chance to enjoy a bottle of prosecco for just £25.
Plus, to mark Mother’s Day, all mothers will receive a complimentary glass of champagne when dining from the new Sunday Roast menu on 30th March.
