From sugar cane to the bathroom…
Urtekram’s packaging is 100% plant-based and made of recycled sugar cane plastic, a renewable raw material that absorbs CO2 from the air. After harvest, the juice is extracted from the sugar cane. With the remaining product (what is left), it is possible to produce the alcohol that is the foundation of the production of plant-based plastics. In this way, Urtekram use a renewable resource at the same time as the remaining product is used. For every ton of sugar cane, two tons of CO2 are composed from the air.
