LIMIN SOUTHBANK

LIMIN SOUTHBANK: 25% off the entire new menu

Wednesday 02nd Apr 2025 |

LIMIN SOUTHBANK is bringing the unmistakable flavours and flair of the Caribbean right to the heart of Gabriel’s Wharf this April.

With its sandy beach, laid-back atmosphere, new spice-filled menu and an array of rum cocktails, it’s the ultimate summer dining destination.

This flowers of the Caribbean inspired summer pop-up, Caribébloom, is a nod to the rich culture and natural beauty of the Caribbean. From its lush landscapes and colourful flowers to a diverse blend of traditions and flavours, the new look reflects the warmth and rhythm of island life. Guests can soak up the sun on the open-air beach, relax in bright indoor spaces painted in turquoise blue and leafy green tones, and adorned with flowers such as Bougainvillea, designed for British summer weather. There is also the option of dining under a retractable roof, perfect for those in-between days.

LIMIN SOUTHBANK: A Kaleidoscope of Flavours

Recently awarded the title of UK’s Best Caribbean Restaurant by the Caribbean Food Awards, LIMIN SOUTHBANK’s new menu offers food that started as Trini village cooking which then travelled the islands and landed in London resulting in bold dishes like nothing you’ve ever experienced – and you can get 25% off the whole menu from 10th – 15th April.

Doubles – the unofficial national dish of Trinidad and Tobago – are at the heart of the menu. Traditionally made up of thin, hand-stretched flatbread thrown into hot oil for a crisp finish and piled high with spiced chickpeas, LIMIN SOUTHBANK is taking it up a notch with a variety of irresistible toppings that offer finger-licking goodness. Choose from curry chicken, curry goat, caramelised pork or masala fish and then tailor to your taste with apple kutchula, the zesty heat of lime pepper sauce, drizzle of tamarind and finished with mango jam.

Other Caribbean delights on the menu include delicious hot buttery roti; Aunty’s curry chicken and Mammy’s veggie curry; smoky jerk chicken and slow cooked ribs straight from the grill; and chef’s favourites island catch with pepper chips, coconut curry peas and jerk tartar sauce, and beetroot orisotto with feta cheese. For summer, chef owner Sham Mahabir has added his own twist to paella with a caramelised chicken pelau that is a must-try.

LIMIN SOUTHBANK: Ready to lime?

LIMIN SOUTHBANK

In Trinidad, ‘liming’ means gathering with good food, drink and company, surrounded by good vibes and no agenda. It is a cherished pastime of Trinidians and a proud part of their cultural identity. LIMIN SOUTHBANK invites busy Londoners and visitors to embrace this easygoing island tradition in its laidback atmosphere. Whether you’re lounging with a rum punch in hand or sharing Trini cutters with friends, LIMIN SOUTHBANK is your perfect escape and it’s just a stone’s throw from the Thames and Waterloo Station.

DATE FOR THE DIARY: CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL DOUBLES DAY

On Friday 30th May, head to LIMIN SOUTHBANK, the UK home of Doubles, at Gabriel’s Wharf for A Taste of Trinidad where the team will be cooking Doubles (and even giving some away for free!) with their Trinidadian style popup – just like they used to on the roadside.
