Roxy Leeds Leisure’s rebellious brand of booze and ball games is poised to return to central Leeds on Saturday August 1st when all four of their entertainment hotspots reopen.
Roxy Ball Room Boar Lane, Roxy Ball Room Merrion Street, Roxy Lanes Bond Street and Roxy Arcade Merrion Street will bounce back simultaneously, bigger and better than ever before.
The decision was taken to delay the relaunch a few weeks past the 4th July (when bars, pubs and restaurants across the UK can officially reopen) to ensure each venue is ready to provide guests with a safe environment that doesn’t compromise on the fun factor Roxy is famous for.
Slice of nostalgia
The entrance to all four bars will feature sanitising stations, where visitors will be required to clean their hands before being seated at their pre-booked table. To order and pay for food and drinks, guests then simply scan the QR code on their table and Roxy Leeds friendly team will bring everything across.
The generous size of each venue has meant that little has changed as far as layout is concerned and all ball games, from bowling and crazy golf, to pool and table tennis, will return.
Roxy Arcade Merrion Street will also pick up where they left off, with their diverse mix of token operated retro gamers and modern arcade machines all ready to go. Budding pop icons will be pleased to know that the venues state-of-the-art karaoke booths will also return.
Old-school video game consoles can also be booked to your booth, allowing you to step back to the 90’s for a slice of nostalgia. Guests can also pre-book beer pong online for the first time in Roxy’s seven year history.
And, whilst Roxy Leeds has come to be known as something of a gaming and entertainment mecca in the city, it wouldn’t be the same without its fine selection of fine craft ales, signature cocktails and mouth-watering comfort food. Guest’s at all four venues can look forward to the return of Roxy’s tempting food and drink menus, making Roxy a one-stop-shop for an epic night (or day) out.
All tables and gaming areas, machines and alleys will be thoroughly cleaned after each booking to ensure the safety of all employees and customers. Hand sanitiser will be dotted generously around each venue and disposable gloves will be available on request.
Roxy Brand Development Manager, Joel Mitchell, had this to say ahead of the relaunch:
‘’To say 2020 threw us a curve ball would be an understatement, but in true Roxy style, we’ve accepted the challenge and are bouncing back to our best. We’re thrilled to be reopening on August 1st and have been working hard to ensure our venues are clean and safe, without taking away any of the fun.’’
‘’We could’ve come back on July 4th, but we wanted to get it right first time and have our venues and team prepped and ready to smash it. If your summer has felt a little washed out so far, I’m confident a trip to one of our Leeds venues will put a spring back in your step. We’re also excited to be offering booking slots for beer pong for the first time, which regulars have been requesting since we opened. We can’t wait to welcome the people of Yorkshire back!’’
Since bursting onto the Leeds scene back in 2013 with their flagship Boar Lane venue, Roxy has gone from strength to strength, cementing itself as one of the UK’s premier bar and gaming brands. This success has snowballed into an impressive portfolio of spin-off bars and sister venues in cities across the north, including Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Liverpool.
