I Tried the Viral Colorgram Nude Blur Tint – Here’s My Honest Review
If you’ve read any of my previous beauty reviews, you’ll know I have a bit of a weakness for putting TikTok’s latest viral products to the test. Some have genuinely impressed me, while others have fallen well short of the hype. So, when the Colorgram Nude Blur Tint started appearing all over my social feeds, I couldn’t resist giving it a try.
This Korean lip tint has become popular thanks to its soft, blurred finish. Rather than creating a bold, heavily defined lip, it’s designed to enhance your natural lip colour with a lightweight matte finish that looks effortless and understated. With a wide range of shades available, there’s plenty of choice whether you prefer delicate pinks, wearable nudes or richer colours.
But as we’ve all learned by now, going viral on TikTok doesn’t automatically make something a great product. So, after testing it myself, here’s what I really thought.
The Crave Test
Part of Crave’s Viral Product Reviews series, where we test trending products so you don’t have to.
- We buy it.
- We test it.
- We photograph it.
First Impressions
I’ll admit it straight away – I’m generally not a fan of matte lip products.
In my experience, they often feel chalky on my lips, and by the end of the day I usually find myself absent-mindedly chewing at them because they feel dry. I’ve also never particularly liked the look of very matte lipsticks, as they can sometimes make lips appear flatter rather than enhancing them.
Because of that, I wasn’t especially optimistic that the Colorgram Nude Blur Tint was going to win me over.
My Biggest Mistake
My first purchase wasn’t actually the product’s fault – it was mine.
I originally chose one of the coral shades, thinking it would be perfect for summer. While I really liked the colour itself, it simply didn’t suit my complexion.
What surprised me, though, was that despite choosing the wrong shade, I still really liked the formula. Rather than giving up on it, I decided to order another colour that was much closer to my natural lip tone.
I chose Shade 6, a soft pink, and I’m really glad I did.
The Result
Shade 6 gave me exactly the effect I’d been hoping for.
Instead of looking like I was wearing an obvious lipstick, it simply enhanced the natural colour of my lips with a soft pink tint that looked fresh and healthy. It gave just enough colour to make me look a little more polished without looking overly made up.
It’s one of those products that people probably wouldn’t immediately notice you’re wearing, but they might wonder why you look a little brighter or fresher.
For me, that’s exactly what I want from an everyday lip colour.
What Is the Matte Finish Like?
This is where the Colorgram Nude Blur Tint genuinely surprised me.
Yes, it has a matte finish, but it isn’t dramatically matte. It doesn’t leave your lips looking flat or feeling tight, and thankfully it doesn’t have that dry, chalky feeling that has always put me off matte lip products in the past.
Instead, it feels lightweight and comfortable to wear throughout the day. My lips never felt like they were desperate for lip balm, which is something I’ve experienced with plenty of other matte lipsticks.
How Long Does It Last?
I found the colour lasted a good few hours before I felt the need to reapply.
It’s not completely transfer-proof, so you’ll notice a little colour on your glass when you’re having a drink. However, I’d much rather that than the thick, sticky residue left behind by some lip glosses.
If, like me, you’ve ever spent an evening rotating your rosé glass to avoid lipstick marks or worried about glossy lipstick ending up everywhere except your lips, this feels like a much more practical alternative.
My Verdict
I’ll be honest—I wasn’t expecting to like this product.
As someone who has never been particularly keen on matte lip colours, I thought this would be another TikTok trend that simply wasn’t for me.
Instead, I’ve found myself reaching for it regularly.
The finish is soft and natural, the formula feels comfortable, the colour lasts well and, most importantly, it doesn’t make my lips feel dry or uncomfortable.
The biggest lesson I learned was to choose the right shade. Buying the coral colour almost put me off, but switching to Shade 6 completely changed my opinion. The soft pink enhances my natural lip colour beautifully and gives me exactly the subtle, everyday look I was hoping for.
Not every viral beauty product deserves its moment in the spotlight, but I genuinely think the Colorgram Nude Blur Tint earns its place. If you’re looking for a lip product that enhances your natural lips rather than covering them completely, this is one I’d happily recommend.
Crave Rating: 4.5/5
Pros
- Lightweight and comfortable to wear
- Soft, natural-looking finish
- Doesn’t feel dry or chalky
- Lovely range of wearable shades
- Lasts several hours before needing to be reapplied
Cons
- Choosing the right shade is important
- Not completely transfer-proof
- If you love a glossy lip, this probably isn’t the product for you
Overall, the Colorgram Nude Blur Tint has completely changed my opinion of matte lip products. I still don’t think I’ll ever be someone who reaches for a dramatic matte lipstick, but for an everyday wash of natural colour that feels comfortable and looks effortlessly polished, this has earned a permanent place in my makeup bag.
