Travelling the US – The Ultimate Casino Crawl

Friday 08th Sep 2023 |

No one can deny that the US boasts an incredibly diverse and exciting casino scene – one that extends well beyond the glittering lights of the Las Vegas Strip.

From the East Coast to the West Coast… and everywhere in between, there are all sorts of casinos that offer a compelling mix of gaming, entertainment and, of course, dining experiences for when you’ve used all your energy spinning those reels.

So, if you’re planning a trip to the US and want to try your luck, here are some of the very best casinos to visit all around the country – on the ultimate casino crawl.

Las Vegas, Nevada – The Gambling Capital

Of course, no list of US casinos could ever be complete without mentioning Las Vegas, often referred to as the gambling capital of the world. This is where people come from all over the world…  and it is home to some of the most iconic casinos, including Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Venetian and MGM Grand.

These mega-resorts offer a gaming experience like no other – along with world-class entertainment and some of the best dining venues in the country. From slot machines to poker tables, Las Vegas has it all, making it a must-visit destination for anyone who has spent time and money practising their skills on no-wagering games at sites found here – and wants a taste of the real deal.

Atlantic City, New Jersey – East Coast Gaming Hub

Next on our road trip, we head from the west to the East Coast – where Atlantic City is a top gambling and casino destination. The city is famous for its boardwalk  – and it offers a whole host of casinos including the Borgata, Harrah’s and, of course, the Tropicana. Atlantic City casinos provide you with all sorts of gaming options – including slots, table games, poker – and all types of gambling games. When you’ve had enough of winning money, why not spend it and enjoy the vibrant nightlife and entertainment scene as you take in those stunning ocean views?

Biloxi, Mississippi – Gulf Coast Gem

The third stop takes us along the beautiful Gulf Coast, where Biloxi is another incredible hotspot for casino lovers. Casinos such as the Beau Rivage and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino offer a perfect mix of gaming, luxurious accommodations and seriously impressive live entertainment. This is a region famed for its Southern hospitality and insane waterfront views, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ultimate casino experience.

Reno, Nevada – The Biggest Little City in the World:

Let’s head back to Nevada, but this time to Reno, which is often overshadowed by Las Vegas. But Reno is a definite hidden gem for casino lovers. Known as ‘The Biggest Little City in the World’, you can expect a more laid-back gambling experience with a whole host of casinos, including the Eldorado, Peppermill and Silver Legacy. As well as lots of gaming options expect some seriously excellent dining – and a cool, funky and vibrant arts and culture scene.

Foxwoods Resort Casino, Connecticut – East Coast Excellence

Travelling cross country again, we come to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut – which is one of the largest casinos in the US. This massive resort offers plenty of gaming options –  from slots to poker to bingo and more. Beyond gambling, Foxwoods also provides plenty of hotels, restaurants, shopping outlets and even a golf course if you want a more sporty activity. This is the ultimate pit stop if you’re after a full casino resort experience.

Mohegan Sun, Connecticut – A Rival to Foxwoods

If you have a day to spare, then why not head to Mohegan Sun, located just a short drive from Foxwoods? This is another impressive casino option in Connecticut, boasting an impressive gaming floor, a luxury hotel, plenty of fine dining options and even an arena for concerts and main events. What’s more, Mohegan Sun’s unique Native American-inspired theme sets it apart from the rest.

New Orleans, Louisiana – Jazz, Culture and Casinos

Although there are plenty more options, the last stop is in New Orleans – which is renowned for its unique culture and haunting sounds of local jazz music. However, it’s also home to some seriously decent casinos. Harrah’s New Orleans Casino offers a bold and fun gaming atmosphere, right in the heart of the city. You can check out the French Quarter, savour the delicious Creole cuisine and enjoy everything that the city has to offer.

That’s just to name a few. There are plenty of other places to see if you want to extend your casino crawl. However, these are our favourite places to visit… offering an experience like no other.
